Calling all artists! Hemlock Art is accepting works from artists and poets who live in the Lehigh Valley area. All work should embody the idea of what it means to be “Still” in a world that is often chaotic, and explore the concept of stillness within the art.
All mediums are welcome, with a max 2D size of no more than 24" in one direction. All 3D artworks must not exceed 12” in any direction. Installations and large (above 12" x 12") sculpture can not be accepted at this time.
Poets will have a 10 minute slot to share their work. Poetry may not include political, religious or offensive materials. Writing sample should reflect the concept of stillness.
The exhibit will take place at the Forks Area Art Society's Cottage in Forks Township, PA.
This show will be curated by Hannah Ehret, MA of Hemlock Art, LLC.
Participants must fill out the Google Form where you will be asked to include images of your work (.jpeg, .png etc.) Additionally, ensure you pay the $10 application fee through the PayPal button above. All proceeds are donated to the Forks Area Art Society. In order to be considered for the exhibition, both payment and completion of the form is required.
After submitting your work, you will receive an email by October 3rd with a final decision.
